OpenAI targeted airframe test

P-47 THUNDERBOLT

"Live Bait" • Hub Zemke

This is a more specific test than the Gabreski page. The question is not whether OpenAI can draw a P-47. The question is whether the API can hold onto a named, identifiable Thunderbolt, Live Bait, with the right nose treatment, markings logic, and the heavy brutal presence that made the Jug such a distinctive machine.

Airframe identity

Can it lock onto the real aircraft?

The web UI result was strong because it did not just make a generic Jug. It looked recognizably like Live Bait. That is the bar here. For warbirds, aircraft identity matters more than generic prettiness. Nose art, squadron codes, cowl treatment, and the feel of the actual machine all matter.

What we judge

1) Does it feel like Live Bait and not just any Thunderbolt? 2) Does it keep the Jug's heavy, muscular geometry? 3) Can it give us useful profile/reference views without drowning in fake text? 4) Can it do action shots that actually feel like combat aircraft and not polished poster toys?
